01
Emergency Call
You reach a live dispatcher, not a voicemail. We ask where the water is, whether the main is shut off, and how long it has been running. We give you a realistic arrival window and stay on the line while you kill the breaker to any room with standing water.
02
Inspection and Shutoff
The crew confirms the main is closed, then walks the loss with a moisture meter and thermal imaging camera to map how far water traveled. We check the slab, baseboards, and adjacent closets. This inspection takes 20 to 40 minutes and sets the drying plan.
03
Extraction
A truck-mounted water extractor handles the bulk of the standing water. Portable extraction units and a wet/dry vacuum clean out cabinets, toe kicks, and low spots. We pull water until the floor reads damp, not wet, usually within two to four hours on a standard home.
04
Drying Setup
We place air movers, a desiccant dehumidifier, and floor drying mats, then cut wall cavity drying vents where water wicked up drywall. A moisture meter log starts on day one. You get a written drying plan and a daily check-in until the readings hit dry standard.
05
Final Verification
We take final moisture readings, photograph the dry structure, and remove equipment. If a plumber needs to repair the failed section, we coordinate the handoff so the line is tested before drywall goes back up. You get a completion report for your file.
